If you haven’t already made your food plans for Hanukkah — which begins at sundown on Thursday, Dec. 10, and ends on Friday, Dec. 18 — we’re here to help. Here are nine local businesses making latkes, babka, brisket and other fare for pickup and delivery.

Neshama Foods

Kosher catering company Neshama Foods is making several kinds of latkes (sweet potato! maple-bacon!), a range of sufganiyot (from the classic jam-filled to Nutella and halva flavors) and apple sauce for Hanukkah. They’re available Dec. 7–18 and delivery is free in Santa Clara and San Mateo counties. Place your order at least 48 hours in advance.

Deja Vu Food

Jewish catering company Deja Vu Food has sufganiyot (including flavors like key lime pie and dulce de leche), several kinds of babka, challah, rugelach and other baked goods available for local pickup.

Pizzeria Delfina

Pizzeria Delfina is offering frozen latkes for pickup or delivery at the Palo Alto and Burlingame restaurants. You can up your latke game with a jar of housemade pear-quince butter or crème fraîche.

Wise Sons Delicatessen

San Francisco’s Wise Sons is doing it all — challah, latkes with housemade apple sauce, roasted brisket, matzah ball soup and more — available for contactless pickup at holiday pop-up locations on the Peninsula, including Palo Alto on Thursday, Dec. 10, and San Mateo on Thursday, Dec. 17.

As Kneaded Bakery

As Kneaded Bakery is making two special babka flavors — chocolate and cardamom-almond — with limited quantities available at the College of San Mateo Farmers’ Market on Saturday. Also, look for the bakery’s challah at Peninsula grocery stores on Fridays and Saturdays.

Manresa Bread

Preorder challah and chocolate babka from Manresa Bread for pickup at the bakery’s locations in Los Altos, Los Gatos or Campbell.

Hummus Bodega

Hummus Bodega’s delivery vans will bring latkes, halva mousse, sufganiyot, challah and other Hanukkah fare to the Peninsula. Items are also available from Hummus Bodega’s sister restaurant, Frena Bakery. Check the delivery schedule here.

The Marvelous Matzah Experiment

The Marvelous Matzah Experiment, a Santa Clara ghost kitchen concept, has its usual matzah ball soup, plus latkes, noodle kugel and brisket available for pickup and local delivery.

Sweet Diplomacy

Gluten-free bakery Sweet Diplomacy is making its own take on sufganiyot, filled with strawberry jam, plus gluten-free babka, challah and almond cookies. Available for pickup in Los Altos or delivery on fixed days and times.
